Destination XL opens Lafayette store

Destination XL, a retailer of big-and-tall men’s apparel and accessories, announced the opening of its first Lafayette store at 4243 Ambassador Caffery Parkway.

The 4,776-square-foot store opened Tuesday and will offer more than 100 brands with selections ranging from private labels to luxury brands such as Polo, Ralph Lauren, Lacoste, Michael Kors and Lucky Brand Jeans.

Sizes start at 38-inch waist or XL, including tall sizes, and shoe sizes 10-16 in widths to 4E.

Destination XL will feature wider aisles and larger fitting rooms, as well as sofas and flat-screen televisions.

“The DXL store was built with the bigger guy in mind and directly addresses needs he’s expressed through customer feedback and focus groups,” said David Levin, president and CEO of Destination XL Group Inc.

“Until now, there were few options in Lafayette for these men to purchase fashionable clothing that fits. We are very pleased to expand here and provide our customers with choices, value and convenience, in a unique shopping experience that he deserves.”
