Shelton Gets A New Police Dog

The Shelton Police Department has acquired a new police dog.

Stryker is the newest addition to the department following the retirement of K9 Jager.

Stryker and his handler, Officer Dan Loris, are scheduled to begin formal training at the police academy in February.

Stryker was purchased from Erich Grasso of Grasso Shepherds. Grasso Shepherds has provided a number of dogs to various law enforcement agencies.

Stryker will be a great asset to the police department and the City. Officer Loris and Stryker are eager to carry on the distinguished tradition that has been established by previous members of the Shelton Police K9 Unit.
