Adoptable pets will be on hand at Saturday’s Animal Rescue League Gala at the Crowne Plaza Reading, Wyomissing.

The Animal Rescue League of Berks County’s annual gala, with the theme “Carnival,” takes place Saturday evening at the Crowne Plaza Reading, 1741 Papermill Road, Wyomissing.

Guests will be treated to carnival fun when they witness live sideshow acts presented by Cirque Manikk. Jonathan Burns will perform acts of contortion, and Madame Erin, The Woman Who Knows, will read cards.

A sideshow tent will feature the World’s Most Adoptable Cats, and the Latest and Greatest Adoptable Dogs will strut the midway.

There will also be a silent auction and a live auction.

Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7:30, with dancing to follow.
