Paul Tudor Jones (Trades, Portfolio) formed Tudor Investment Corporation in 1980 when he was just 26 years old. The investment strategies include discretionary global macro, managed futures, and discretionary equity long-short.

The hedge fund manager is also the founder of the Robin Hood Foundation, which fights poverty in New York City.

His current portfolio contains more than 1,400 stocks and is valued at about $2.8 billion. An active trader, Jones added 406 new holdings during the quarter. The following are the five largest new buys in order of portfolio impact.

LinkedIn (LNKD, Financial)

Jones purchased 61,500 shares of LinkedIn, which traded at an average price of $217.12 during the quarter. The social media platform has a 0.49% portfolio weighting.

LinkedIn has about 347 million members in more than 200 countries and territories. Launched in co-founder Reid Hoffman’s living room in 2002, LinkedIn now has more than 6,800 full-time employees in 30 cities. The stock began trading on the NYSE in May 2011, opening at $83, up from the IPO price of $45.

The stock currently trades at $265.92 and is overvalued when compared to the Peter Lynch earnings line.

Preliminary data for FY 2014 estimate that EBIT per share will be $0.29, down from $0.40 the year before.

Sealed Air Corp (SEE, Financial)

Jones bought 201,200 shares of Sealed Air Corp, which traded for an average price of $37.71 per share during the quarter.

The company’s brands include Cryovac packaging technology, Diversey and TASKI brand cleaning and hygiene solutions and its Bubble Wrap brand cushioning, Jiffy protective mailers, and Instapak foam-in-place systems. Sealed Air serves end markets including food service, retail, healthcare and industrial.

FY 2014 preliminary data estimates EBIT per share will be $3.06, up from $2.82 the year before.

The stock has been up 45% over the past year and currently trades at $47.61, with a P/E ratio of 46.8 and P/S ratio of 1.31.

Robert Half International (RHI, Financial)

Jones’ fourth largest new purchase was 134,607 shares of Robert Half International for an average price of $54.38. The company has a 0.27% portfolio weighting.

Robert Half is a staffing and risk consulting company that provides temporary, full-time, and project professional staffing in the accounting and finance fields.

The stock has been up 52% over the past year and is overvalued according to the Peter Lynch chart.

Wynn Resorts (WYNN, Financial)

Wynn operates two destination casino resorts — one in Las Vegas and the other in Macau, China. The Las Vegas resort features 186,000 square feet of casino space, and 96,000 square feet of retail space.
