Delta Air Lines Inc. (DAL) Closed Challenging The Highs After Q4 Report

Delta Air Lines Inc. (DAL) reported fourth quarter adjusted EPS of $0.78 Tuesday morning, which topped the consensus estimate of $0.77. Revenues grew 6 percent to $9.65 billion from $9.08 billion last year, and topped analysts' estimate of $9.58 billion.

Delta Air Lines gapped up Tuesday and posted gains in early trade. Shares rose further during the first half of the afternoon and closed up by 3.33 at $49.17 on above average volume. The stock closed challenging the highs of the year, trading at a 2-week high.
