Minor raped by 63-year-old receptionist in Hyderabad, accused arrested

A minor girl was on Monday allegedly raped by a 63-year-old man, working as a receptionist at her residential educational institute in S R Nagar in Hyderabad, police said.

The incident took place when the eleven-year-old was going from one block of the residential institute to another, accused has been arrested.

The accused, identified as Hargopal, dragged the girl into a room and then sexually assaulted her, police said.

After the incident, the girl reported the matter to her parents and a case was registered under section 376 (rape) of IPC, following which he was arrested, the police officer said.
