The Bay Area News Group in conjunction with WorkplaceDynamics LLC is making another effort this year to gather information from our local area to highlight businesses that show appreciation for their employees and their community. We feel it is important to do this research and provide this information to our readers so that they are aware of which companies are on the list of Top Workplaces when they look for employment, build partnerships and ultimately buy products to show support.

Our efforts to gather information rely heavily on community involvement. We are making every attempt to hear from individuals that work at Bay Area Top Workplaces so that we can offer reliable rankings to our readers. That is why it is so important to let us know if you work for a terrific company that should be recognized for their efforts to show appreciation for their employees.

“I look forward to coming to work every day and gain a sense of value related to the work I am able to participate in.”

Don’t be left off the list!
This is what past Bay Area Top Workplaces said about making it on the list…

The Cooper Companies
We are honored to be named a Top Workplace for the fifth year in a row. We are committed to being a quality of life company. Our success is driven by our employees’ hard work and dedication to Cooper each and every day.

Making an effort to be on the list of Bay Area Top Workplaces could be the most important decision a company can make and any individual within the organization can get the process started…

How to nominate your company:

– Any organization with 40-plus employees in the Bay Area is eligible to participate (can be private, public,
nonprofit, or government).

– Workplaces are evaluated by their employees using a short, 22 statement survey.

– Companies will be surveyed January through mid-March 2015.

WorkplaceDynamics LLC, the research partner for the project, conducts Top Workplaces surveys with 40-plus major metro newspapers and surveyed almost 2 million employees last year.

– Nomination deadline: February 20, 2015

– Publication date: June 2015

Online nominations can be submitted by going to here

– Phone nominations can be submitted by calling (408) 841-7554.

– There is no fee to nominate or participate-the process is free start to finish.

Top Workplaces in the Bay Area are determined by efforts of the Bay Area News Group and WorkplaceDynamics LLC to reach out to employers with at least 40 employees and perform surveys to calculate how strongly the employees feel about their workplace. It is very easy to nominate your company as a top workplace.

Once companies are nominated, surveys completed and responses are validated, companies are divided into the groups by size. Then they are ranked within their group based solely on the employee responses to the survey statements. The top employers in each group are then selected as the Top Workplaces in the Bay Area.

Being a Top Workplace has several benefits not only for the community and profitability of the company, but also for the people who are part of
the organization. Along with happy employees, increased profits and community support also comes the free publicity and recognition from being
included as a Top Workplace in the Bay Area. It only takes a moment to get the process started.
