2-inch Standby Attitude Module (SAM®) offers new functionality, heading display
The newest SAM software update — version 1.0.4 — now includes heading displayed via ARINC 429 input, field calibration of altitude and airspeed, live configuration preview, storage mode for battery preservation and variable VNE based on altitude.
148 aircraft models now included in SAM® AML STC
Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics has recently improved SAM’s AML STC to include all Beechcraft Baron and Bonanza models; Cessna Mustang, Conquest and Caravan; Cirrus SR20 and SR22; and many more! The amended AML STC makes it even easier to receive FAA approval for installation in your aircraft.
Cirrus Aircraft, Bell, Enstrom and MD Helicopters select SAM® as digital standby display
SAM is now offered as the digital standby display in the Cirrus Accelero and GTS packages, Bell Helicopter 407GX, Enstrom Helicopter 480B-G, and the MD Helicopters MD900 Explorer.

The MD215 is an economical replacement for legacy 2-inch altimeters, commonly found on turboprop and advanced light-to-heavy business jet aircraft.
The MD215 combines the time-tested familiarity of a mechanical display with the reliability and value of electronic pressure sensing and servo-driven motors. It is a perfect form and fit replacement for traditional 2-inch counterdrum products, which can be expensive to repair or replace.
