WESTFORD (AP) — Sonus Networks Inc. on Thursday reported a loss of $5.2 million in its third quarter.
On a per-share basis, the company said it had a loss of 2 cents. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and amortization costs, were 1 cent per share.
The results matched Wall Street expectations.
The maker of technology for telephone services over Internet networks posted revenue of $73.2 million in the period, beating Street forecasts. Analysts expected $71.9 million, according to Zacks.
For the current quarter ending in December, Sonus expects its per-share earnings to be 3 cents.
The company, based at 4 Technology Park Drive, said it expects revenue in the range of $76 million to $82 million for the fiscal fourth quarter.
Sonus expects full-year earnings to be 7 cents per share, with revenue ranging from $295 million to $301 million.
Shares of Sonus were trading at $3.20, up 25 cents, as of about 10:30 a.m. The financial results were announced before the opening of trading.
The company employs more than 1,000 people worldwide.
