Oilfield services provider Weatherford International Ltd. (WFT) Wednesday reported third-quarter net income of $77 million or $0.10 per share, up from $22 million or $0.03 per share last year.
Adjusted earnings for the quarter were $0.32 per share, up from $0.23 per share last year.
Total revenues for the quarter rose to $3.88 billion from $3.82 billion last year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.33 on revenues of $4.00 billion. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
