KFC Rolls Out Double Down Hot Dog

Fast food chain KFC has rolled out an all new, outrageously meaty Double Down Dog, a hot dog wrapped in a cheese-stuffed fried chicken breast, at select restaurants in the Philippines.

According to a Facebook post from KFC Philippines, which calls the menu item "a legendary dish for a legendary appetite," only 50 of the sandwiches are available per day at 11 select locations. And the Double Down Dog is being sold only on January 26-27.

This is not the first time KFC, which is owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. (YUM), has created a meat sandwich. In 2010, select American chains offered the Double Down sandwich, containing "bacon, two different kinds of melted cheese, the Colonel's secret sauce... pinched in between two pieces of Original Recipe chicken fillets."

However, there are no current plans for KFC to add the Double Down Dog to its menu in the United States.
