Toyota Motor Corp on 12 November 2014 announced to recall around 361800 vehicles world-wide. These include Hiace vans from Japan, Camry sedan from Japan and Europe and Crown Majesta from Japan.
Toyota is recalling these vehicles for three separate defects which have not received any reports of crashes or injuries related to the glitches.
It is recalling about 170000 Camry sedans including 120000 in Europe and around 60 in the US that were made between March 2011 and August 2014. The cars are recalled over faulty ball joints that may have been damaged during shipment. The defect could lead to drivers losing control of the vehicles.
Hiace vans are recalled over a fuel pipe defect whereas Crown Majesta vehicles are recalled from Japan over a seat belt glitch.
Toyota will replace the ball joint with a new one if necessary and it did not disclose the costs associated with the recalls.
