Early this morning, Hyatt Regency London - The Churchill experienced a gas explosion in the hotel's basement. Our top priority is the safety and wellbeing of our guests and associates.  No guests were injured, but several hotel associates sustained injuries, four of whom were treated at area hospitals.  As of 2 p.m. CT, one associate remains hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

We are currently working to provide guests with accommodations and are cooperating with local authorities to determine the extent of the damage at the hotel and to understand the cause of the incident.

The hotel is currently closed as those efforts continue.  We apologize for the inconvenience to our guests and those with upcoming reservations at the hotel, and are grateful to the hotel staff and local authorities who are providing assistance at the site.
