Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach, REALTORS(R) Chairman and CEO Larry Flick and President Joan Docktor were named in the “Swanepoel Power 200: The Most Powerful People in Residential Real Estate in 2014.” This report recognizes the most powerful key decision makers, trailblazers, influencers, company chieftains, thought leaders, and innovators in the real estate industry. The list was determined by the individuals’ personal influence, tenure in the industry, office held and decision-making power in the position, as well as the company’s contribution and significance to the industry.

John Cernesky and Peg Chism with RE/MAX Achievers in Collegeville were recently awarded the 2014 RE/MAX Hall of Fame Awards. The RE/MAX Career Hall of Fame award is awarded to RE/MAX Realtors earning over $1,000,000 in sales commission during their career with RE/MAX. Due to Cernesky and Chism’s RE/MAX sales production, commitment to quality, work ethic & customer service, both realtors have surpassed the award earnings milestone.

Saints Philip & James School in Phillipsburg recently held it’s National History Day Competition with 15 students (12 projects) advancing to the regional competition which will take place at Princeton University in March. Winners were: Individual Papers: Emma Anmolsingh, Bailey Perna, Katie Soergel; Individual Exhibits: Griffin DuBose, Nikki Watts; Group Exhibit: Claire Greig, Natalie Soto, Nicole Soto; Individual Websites: Emily Palazzo, Alejandro Cano, Katie Johnson, Lianna Johnson, Ryan Johnson; and Group Website: Joseph Socci, Patrick Juliano.

Stuart Dubbs, Mary Gedney, and Beth Mitchell, real estate agents with RE/MAX Central in Allentown were recently awarded the Accredited Luxury Home Specialist (ALHS) designation from The Luxury Home Council, Inc. The Accredited Luxury Home Specialist (ALHS) logo is testimony to the agents’ training and expertise in the luxury home marketplace. To display the ALHS logo and be accepted into the Luxury Home Council, each member must successfully complete the accredited Luxury Home Specialist course, meet sale requirements and be in good standing with the National Association of REALTORS(R).

Shannon Rutan and Stephanie Salmento students on the Notre Dame Speech and Debate team recently won a second place award in Novice Public Forum Debate at the Martin Luther King Open Tournament. Also representing Notre Dame was Kelsey Rosa in Oral Interpretation. Stephanie Salmento earned the Degree of Honor from the National Speech and Debate Association.

Bradlee Thrasher, a sophomore at Faith Christian School in Roseto, has been selected by the faculty to represent Faith Christian at the HOBY Leadership Seminar to be held in Philadelphia in late May. Each year Faith Christian selects one student to attend this event. The State Leadership Seminar which is designed to help high school sophomores recognize their leadership talents and apply them to become effective, ethical leaders in their home, school, workplace and community.
