Though Kevin Durant, one of the most valuable players on the Oklahoma City's Thunder, is still recovering from an injury, that hasn't stopped Sonic Drive-In from signing him to be a new spokesperson.

ESPN reports that Durant, who apparently has more endorsement deals than any other NBA player, is the fast food chain's first-ever "athlete ambassador." According to Michael Yormark of Roc Nation, Durant's branding and strategy agency, "When it comes to grab-and-go food, KD's a Sonic guy."

It probably helps that Sonic Drive-In is based in Oklahoma City. Durant will play chef as well, by "coming up with his own dishes for the brand, which recently opened a test kitchen." Durant plans on creating healthier items for Sonic. The six-foot-nine-inch tall basketball superstar is also a spokesperson for granola bar company KIND.
