All but one of the parliamentary party leaders – Carl Haglund, of the Swedish People's Party – voluntary submitted advance notice of their election campaign funding. The leader with the largest budget in the 2015 election was NCP head Alexander Stubb, who had 60,000 euros to draw on in support of his electoral bid. The sum came in its entirety from the party’s own coffers.

The Social Democratic Party's Antti Rinne also handed in his figures, which came in at 51,000 euros, 2,000 of which he contributed himself. The third biggest spender was Center Party chairperson Juha Sipilä, with a 39,500 euro budget, a sizable 35,200 euros of which came from the millionaire former businessman’s own back pocket.

Splashing out less lavishly on his campaign was Finns Party leader Timo Soini. He did not declare in advance his total campaign expenses, but a figure can be reached by adding up his personal contribution (1,500 euros), support from the party (8,000 euros) and from party associations (1,000 euros). On this basis it appears that Soini's campaign burned up some 10,500 euros.

A final disclosure of election funding must be left with the National Audit Office by June 22nd.
