Judging from social media alone (hello, Pinterest!) you all went positively batty over the divine Revlon by Marchesa nail appliques that we revealed back in October. Hold onto your hats and glasses, gals, because we now have all the images for the second and third installments of the Marchesa and Revlon partnership, and they're just as stunning as the first.

Collection number two features seven beauty tools in three different colors, all of which are designed in a delicate lace motif inspired by the Marchesa runway. Meanwhile, the third and final Red Carpet Collection includes three distinct cosmetics mini-sets that pay homage to Marchesa's favorite red carpet beauty looks, all of which are outfitted in a similar romantic lace pattern.

We caught up with Marchesa designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig to hear all about the two collections, their (heartfelt) beauty icon, and the makeup techniques they still can't quite master.

How did you decide which patterns from your Spring 2014 collection were worthy of being emblazoned onto the packaging?

Georgina Chapman: I think we chose a lace that we thought would actually work best in a print and would really reflect the ethereal quality of Marchesa. We did do the nails in a different motif, which were inspired by embroidery and embellishments.

Keren Craig: Yes, the nails were much more about the textures and the feeling of the beading. And I think here, the lace just translated so beautifully as a print because it works better in a monotone palette, whereas with the beading, you need something that's a bit three-dimensional.

How did you decide which specific colors to focus on in the Red Carpet Collection?

KC: I think we wanted to go for really classic and dramatic colors that would work with lots of different looks. Obviously, you don't have a red carpet moment every day of your life, so these really are colors that you can wear everyday as well as for dressing up in the evening.

I notice you stayed away from eye shadow and focused lots on lips in the new Red Carpet Collection. Any specific reason for that?

GC: I think it was just interesting for us to have more of a bold moment with the lips. And sometimes if you go really bold with the lips you don't necessarily want to have too much eye makeup on.

With your highly intricate designs, your fashion philosophy could be described as "all in the details." How would you define your beauty philosophy specifically and how do the two relate?

GC: We just want to have fun with beauty and that's what it should be about. Getting dressed should be about having fun and experimenting a bit. I think our fashion and beauty philosophy is one in the same in that sense.

It's no secret that your fashion icon is Marchesa Luisa Casati, for whom your brand is named after. But who's your beauty icon?

KC: On a more personal level, I think one always looks up to what your mother did when you were young. I would always pay attention to what my mother would be putting on because that was my first instruction into beauty and makeup. She would always have this dramatic lip and play up her eyes with lots of lashes.

Both of your technical skills in fashion are first-rate. But are there any beauty techniques that you still haven't quite mastered yet when it comes to either makeup or hair?

GC: I think there is actually quite a lot that we haven't mastered, which is why we have Gucci Westman to the rescue! [Laughs.] We rely on the very savvy hands of Gucci a lot.

KC: I will say the thing that I find completely impossible to do is putting on those individual lashes on myself. I have not mastered that at all. I can do a strip lash, but it takes a bit of time. I'm not a whiz at it.

GC: That's what's so brilliant about these nail wraps, actually. You just plop it on and they go on so easily and they look just masterful. People are always like, "Wow! Where'd you get those done?!" They always think you sat in some salon for a long time. You don't need to master any beauty technique for that.
