Interpublic Group Q3 Profit Meets Estimates, Revenues Top - Quick Facts

Advertising and marketing services company Interpublic Group of Companies, Inc. (IPG) Wednesday reported third-quarter net income available to stockholders of $89.7 million or $0.21 per share, up from $45.4 million or $0.11 per share in the prior year.

For the year-ago quarter, the company posted adjusted earnings of $0.17 per share excluding charge for early extinguishment of debt.

On average, 16 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.21 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Total revenues for the quarter grew 8.3% to $1.84 billion from $1.70 billion last year. Analysts estimated revenues of $1.78 billion for the quarter. Organic revenue increased 6.3%.
