The largest independent Coca-Cola bottler in the country unveiled a state-of-the-art, 305,000-square-foot facility Thursday in southwest Louisville.App Users: Watch Mobile Video Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated sought to bolster the focus on the food and beverage industry in Louisville with the opening of the new sales and distribution center.In a $12 million commitment to Louisville, CCBCC renovated a once-vacant warehouse, building office space and adding a 100,000 square feet to staycompetitive in the area."Coca-Cola Consolidated sells about 300 million Coke products within a 13-state area in the Mid-Atlantic part of the country,' said CCBCC Chairman and CEO J. Frank Harrison III.The 25-acre site also has a center to refurbish old vending machines and other equipment."The offices behind me are where the sales and distribution offices are, and behind you we have 200,000 square feet as distribution center for the new Louisville market," said CCBCC senior vice president Lauren Steele.Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer joined CCBCC and other community leaders to open the sales and distribution center.
