Quest Diagnostics Inc. (DGX) announced Thursday morning that it now expects to report third quarter adjusted earnings per share from continuing operations of $1.02. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $1.20.
Quest Diagnostics gapped open sharply lower Thursday, but was range-bound throughout the session. The stock closed down by 3.04 at $58.66 on the highest volume of the year. Quest Diagnostics dropped to over a 1-month low and fell below both its 50 and 200-day moving averages.
