Yum Brands’ (NYSE:YUM) Taco Bell is preparing to launch a new Biscuit Taco on March 26.

taco-bell-biscuit-tacos-yumTaco Bell’s Biscuit Taco is what it sounds like. The new menu item is a biscuit in the shape of a taco that is made of butter and buttermilk. It also includes egg and cheese and customers can choose between having bacon or sausage in it. When released, it will be available in stores across the United States, reports USA Today.

Another version of the Biscuit Taco being prepared by Taco Bell will have it switching out the egg, cheese and sausage or bacon for crispy chicken. This version can come with either jalapeño honey or country gravy. Biscuit Tacos will cost $2.49 and the company has built a new ad campaign for them, USA Today notes.

According to Taco Bell chief marketing officer Chris Brandt, the Biscuit Taco is there just in case something on its menu –possibly the Waffle Taco– loses its appeal with customers, reports The New York Times.
