The festival’s location was recently switched a few blocks south to Douglas Park, 1401 S Sacramento Dr., from its recent staging area in Humboldt Park after an alderman complained about slow clean-up at the park after last year’s Riot Fest.

Refunds were offered, but less than 2 percent of ticket-holders sought refunds before Monday’s deadline, the festival said. It’s standard for Riot Fest and other festivals to offer early refunds for tickets in case unexpected conflicts arise for buyers, a spokeswoman said, and it’s unclear whether ticket-holders sought a refund this year because of the fest’s recent relocation.

An estimated 160,000 fans attended Riot Fest last year over the three days.
