The custodian overseeing Milwaukee Bucks coach Jason Kidd’s minority ownership stake in the Brooklyn Nets has asked the National Basketball Association for more time to sell it, according to two people with direct knowledge of the request.

Kidd, Brooklyn’s former coach, has a one-sixth of 1 percent stake in the franchise, which Forbes says is worth $1.5 billion. That values Kidd’s stake, previously held by entertainer Jay-Z, at $2.5 million. Jay-Z had to sell it when he became a certified NBA player agent.
