Oil States International Q3 Profit From Cont. Ops. Rises - Quick Facts

Oil States International, Inc. (OIS) reported third-quarter net income attributable to the company of $56.92 million or $1.05 per share, down from $167.74 million or $3.01 per share for the year-ago quarter.

However, net income from continuing operations for the quarter were $58.38 million or $1.07 per share, up from $35.48 million or $0.64 per share in the same period last year.

Revenues for the quarter grew 3 percent to $471.0 million from $438.2 million in the year-ago period.

On average, analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.98 per share for the quarter on revenue of $473.66 million. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
