MCLEAN, Va., Nov. 11 (UPI) -- Twenty-six companies have been recognized by the Information Systems business of Northrop Grumman as Suppliers of Excellence.
The award honors suppliers that continuously provide "outstanding support to Northrop Grumman and its Information Systems sector."
Northrop Grumman said more than 3,000 suppliers were deemed eligible for possible awards and were judged by the company in five categories: schedule, management, technical, financial and quality.
More than 70 percent of suppliers that received the award earlier this month are small and socio-economic business partners.
"Northrop Grumman is truly grateful for the significant contributions that each of these suppliers has made to ensure the success of our programs and our customers' missions," said Kathy Warden, corporate vice president and president of Northrop Grumman Information Systems.
Named Suppliers of Excellence were: Aeroflex, Change Architect Inc., Ardent Eagle Solutions, Boecore, Computer Technologies Consultants, Cybercore Technologies, DRS Technologies, Embark Software Development, Entegra Systems, Gemedy Inc, GlenAir Inc., Harris Corporation, and Honeywell Defense & Space.
Also receiving the honor were Iota IT, IPX International Systems, L-3 National Security Solutions, Laconisoft. Omitron Inc., Relis LLC, RFD & Associates Inc., RTSynch Corporation, SME Walker Inc., Twin Otter International Ltd., Veris Group LLC, and Victory Solutions Inc.
