Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise (ALE) has appointed UXC Connect veteran Steve Saunders as its cloud director for ANZ.
In the newly created role, Saunders will work with customers and partners to develop a range of innovative and industry-specific, consumption-based delivery models.
“Many cloud solutions are a one-size-fits-all kind and that means enterprises miss out on the real benefits that cloud-based services can offer,” said Saunders.
Saunders joined Integ in 2001, which merged with two other UXC Limited divisions, XSI Data Solutions and Getronics Australia, in 2011 to become UXC Connect.
He was most recently UXC Connect’s business manager of cloud communications.
Saunders was also a part of the company’s partnership with Google to offer services and hardware for unified comms with desktop apps.
UXC Connect has partnered with ALE since 2013, when it began leveraging Alcatel-Lucent’s OpenTouch Suite to deliver telephony features to enterprise devices.
