Weekend Preview: Fighting Saints Host Glow in the Dark Game

March 19, 2015 - United States Hockey League (USHL)
Dubuque Fighting Saints News Release

The Dubuque Fighting Saints will need fans to help power up the Mystique Community Ice Center on Friday night. The club hosts Team USA U-17 at 7:35 p.m. for the Glow in the Dark Game, presented by Alliant Energy featuring a glow stick giveaway.

Since the Fighting Saints tend to light the goal lamp on home ice often, Alliant Energy has provided the Fighting Saints with energy-saving LED light bulbs. Now, the Fighting Saints will continue to be able to score at a fast and furious pace on home ice, all while conserving energy.

The fun starts right when fans walk in the doors. The first 2,000 fans will receive a glow stick courtesy of Alliant Energy. Fans will be asked to participate in the pre-game light show, using their glow sticks to help the Mystique Community Ice Center truly glow in the dark.

During the game's first intermission, members of the Dubuque Figure Skating Club will take the ice for a special glow in the dark performance. The second intermission will feature a fan favorite, Fisher Lanes Slingshot Bowling. For the Glow in the Dark Game, the bowling will be themed as cosmic bowling, with the lights dropped and a contestant decked in fluorescent flying across the ice.

Tickets start at just $10 and are available online at DubuqueFightingSaints.com or by calling 563.583.6880. Including Friday's game, Dubuque has just four home games remaining in the regular season.
