Delhi elections: 70 rallies in one day

The BJP, the AAP and the Congress are on a campaign overdrive - with over 70 rallies vying for the attention of Delhi voters.

The BJP, the AAP and the Congress are on a campaign overdrive - with over 70 rallies vying for the attention of Delhi voters on Sunday.

The BJP is holding 35 rallies in the capital. They will be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, party president Amit Shah, chief ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi, Union Ministers Arun Jaitley, Smriti Irani, Ravi Shankar Prasad and Babul Supriyo and party leaders Navjot Singh Sidhu, Prabhat Jha and Manoj Tiwari.

Modi addressed a rally in Dwarka. "The nation has full faith in the prime minister. The countrymen are proud of him," BJP MP Prabhat Jha, who is in-charge of BJP's poll campaign in Delhi, said.

Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party, on the other side, has planned 25 public meetings.

Party leaders Kejriwal, Kumar Vishwas, Ashutosh, Yogendra Yadav, Sanjay Singh and Ashish Khetan will address voters in different parts of the capital.

Kejriwal has four rallies in Narela, Chandni Chowk, Sadar Bazar and Balimaran.

The Congress too has called in heavyweights for its Sunday rallies. Party president Sonia Gandhi will address her first rally in Badarpur. Party's poll campaign chief Ajay Maken will address rallies along with former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and party leaders Sachin Pilot, Raj Babbar. Former actress Mahima Chaudhary too will speak.

Delhi goes to poll on February 7. The results for the 70-member Assembly will be declared on February 10.
