BANGALORE, INDIA--April 28, 2010--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--The Egyptian government has given approval to Italian energy company Italgen SpA (Bergamo, Italy)--the energy arm of the world's fifth-largest cement producer, Italcementi SpA (BIT:IT) (Bergamo)--to construct the first privately owned windfarm in Egypt. The windfarm, which will have a generating capacity of 120 megawatts, will be constructed in the Gulf of Suez to the east of Cairo.
