DUBLIN — A bank in Dublin is now offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of a man who robbed the business on Monday morning.

The man robbed the Bank of America branch at 4250 Dublin Blvd about 11:06 a.m. Monday, said Dublin police Sgt. Herb Walters.

Police say the suspect entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money and saying that he had a gun. The teller handed the man an unspecified amount of cash. The suspect fled the bank and ran northbound through the parking lot; no weapon was actually seen during the robbery.

Police identified the suspect as a black man, about 6 feet tall, about 35 years old with a neatly trimmed goatee wearing a dark colored Seattle Seahawks baseball cap, a light green long-sleeve shirt and light colored jeans.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Detective Sgt. Rafael Alvarez at 925-833-6682 or Detective Miguel Campos at 925-556-4561.
