Cardiff crews extinguish refuse fire in Splott, Cardiff

A large refuse fire which also involved tyres has been extinguished by firefighters in Cardiff.

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called to the incident on Seawall Road, Splott, at 15:08 BST on Monday.

Two crews from Cardiff Central and one crew from Roath responded to the blaze.

Wales and West Utilities attended to isolate a nearby gas supply but said there was no damage to its network and customers were not affected.
