Guess who won 'Laureus Sportsman of the Year' award for second time in four years?

World number one tennis player Novak Djokovic has been crowned the Laureus Sportsman of the Year award at a glitzy ceremony in Shanghai for the second time in four years.

The Serbian bagged the prestigious title ahead of world number one golfer Rory McIlroy, Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo, reigning Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton, MotoGP sensation Marc Marquez and French pole vaulter Renaud Lavillenie.

Reflecting on his feat, an absent Djokovic said through a video message that it had probably been his best year so far in his life, adding that he was proud of it as it is truly a great achievement to be able to get selected from those big names, Stuff.co.nz reported.

The eight-time Grand Slam champion, who was first bestowed the honour in 2011, added that winning the award again meant the world to him.
