Everest Names Jonathan Zaffino as President of Everest National Insurance Company / U.S. Insurance Operations

Everest Re Group, Ltd. (NYSE:RE) announced today that Jonathan M. Zaffino will be joining the Company as President of Everest National Insurance Company / U.S. Insurance Operations. Mr. Zaffino assumes his new role effective immediately.

Mr. Zaffino joins Everest from Marsh & McLennan Companies, where he served as Managing Director of Marsh’s U.S. Casualty Practice from 2010 to 2013, and most recently as President of Victor O. Schinnerer & Company, Inc., one of the largest underwriting managers of professional liability and specialty insurance programs. Mr. Zaffino brings a diverse background with a 20 year career that includes casualty and specialty underwriting and brokerage experience. Before joining Marsh, he held senior underwriting positions with ACE and Willis North America. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from St. Michael’s College.

Mr. Daryl W. Bradley will transition from his current role as President of Everest National / U.S. Insurance Operations to focus solely on building an international platform for the Company’s primary insurance market. With over 19 years of experience with Everest, and his significant expertise in the insurance industry, Mr. Bradley, as Head of International Insurance Operations, will be instrumental in the strategic expansion of the Company’s insurance division to international markets.
