Zingaro, who now works for Stryker’s NY Metro region sales, said his “advice for current active duty military members would be to start working on a transition plan once you decide you are going to separate. You come out of the military with strong leadership skills that many companies today are looking for.”

Stryker’s newest military partnership is with the Fisher House Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides a home away from home that enables family members to be close to a loved one during hospitalization for an illness, disease or injury.

The partnership will help support military families by making the same Stryker hat that professional golfers Fred Funk and Hal Sutton wear available for golf fans, Guilfoyle said. For every hat purchased, Stryker will donate 100 percent of the net proceeds directly to the Fisher House Foundation to support injured or sick military veterans and their families.

“Stryker is ... dedicated to continuing support of its veteran and enlisted employees, and proud to be among the nation’s Top Military Employers,” Guilfoyle said.
