Dover native Madison Brengle loses in WTA semifinal

STUTTGART, Germany – Madison Brengle, a native of Dover, Delaware, lost in the semifinals of the Porsche Grand Prix on Saturday.

Brengle fell to home favorite Angelique Kerber 6-3, 6-1 in just under an hour.

Kerber will play fourth-seeded Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark in the final. Wozniacki beat second-seeded Simona Halep of Romania 7-5, 5-7, 6-2 in the other semifinal Saturday.
