Nobody will ever argue about Mark Richt’s ability to recruit. Last year, Richt was able to sign Nick Chubb, Sony Michel and Lorenzo Carter, and they all helped Georgia earn a 10-win season. In 2013, the Bulldogs added Brandon Kublanow and Leonard Floyd to the fold, and those two were able to play at a high level all season long in 2014.

But there are more former top recruits on the roster that still have yet to shine in Athens. But 2015 will be the year that changes as four former top recruits will help the Bulldogs get to where they want to go.

    Let’s take a closer look.

CB Tramel Terry

It’s been an interesting career for Tramel Terry who was recruited as a wide receiver back in 2013. According to 247 Sports, Terry was the top prospect in South Carolina, but he missed the entire 2013 due to an ACL injury. When he came back from the injury, he switched to safety and notched six tackles and one interception.

Now he’s making the move to cornerback, and he had a strong outing in the spring game as he registered six tackles and a pass breakup. Terry likely won’t start for the Bulldogs in the fall, but he will see more action than he did last year, and he has proven that he can defend the run and make plays in the passing game.

ILB Tim Kimbrough

In 2013, Tim Kimbrough was rated as the sixth-best inside linebacker recruit in the country, according to 247 Sports. He tallied five tackles and one tackle for loss his rookie season. He was able to play a little bit more last year, and he racked up 32 tackles and one tackle for loss.

Now that it is 2015, Kimbrough will have an opportunity to start at inside linebacker. He was very active in the spring game as he attacked the line of scrimmage and was very strong against the run.

Kimbrough had the benefit of learning from Amarlo Hererra and Ramik Wilson who were All-SEC players, and both are now playing the NFL. Add in the talent at outside linebacker with Leonard Floyd and Jordan Jenkins, Kimbrough has an opportunity to do some big things this season.

CB Malkom Parrish

Quincy Mauger, Dominick Sanders and Aaron Davis all established themselves in the secondary last season. Now it’s Malkom Parrish’s turn to do the same thing.

Parrish was listed as the fifth-best prospect in the state of Georgia in 2014, according to 247 Sports. He saw a good amount of action his freshman season with 17 tackles and one forced fumble.

This season, Parrish will have the chance to start at cornerback, and he proved this spring that he is one of the more physical defensive backs on the roster, according to Jake Rowe of 247 Sports.

Parrish will need to get better in pass coverage, but his ability to defend the run will be huge for a team that struggled in that category last year.

C Isaiah Wynn

Replacing center David Andrews is no easy task because he was one of the leaders on the team. Isaiah Wynn is the leading candidate to be the starting center, and so far he has been able to hold his own.

Wynn was listed as the seventh-best offensive guard prospect in the country, per 247 Sports. He played in 11 games and made one start last season. But the coaches decided to move Wynn to center, and while he had some struggles in the spring game, he was able to settle down and make the right calls and snap the ball with ease.

Overall, Wynn was able to have a strong spring season, and if he continues to learn the calls and make consistent snaps, he can be just as good as Andrews as the season rolls on.
