David Morgan

David Morgan joined Lathrup Village-based Michigan First Credit Union as chief lending officer, in charge of commercial and consumer loan portfolios. Morgan previously served as the managing director-operations and administration for Chemical Bank (formerly Talmer Bank). He has more than 20 years of industry experience with leadership roles at various financial institutions throughout his career, including Michigan National Bank, Old Kent Bank and Citizens Bank. Mary Aretha

Mary C. Aretha has joined the law firm of Maddin, Hauser, Roth & Heller, P.C. of Southfield as an associate for the defense and insurance coverage practice group. Previously, Aretha served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Kathleen Jansen with the Michigan Court of Appeals. Before that, she served as a research attorney with the Michigan Court of Appeals Research Division.

Karen Kushkin, Christopher Haboian

Karen L. Kushkin and Christopher D. Haboian have joined the Southfield office of Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss, P.C.

Kushkin joins as an associate in the firm’s estate planning and probate practice group. She previously worked at several law firms across the Midwest and East Coast including most recently as an associate with Loeb & Loeb LLP in New York. She has a bachelor’s of business administration degree from the University of Michigan. She has a juris doctor from Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago and a master of laws in taxation from New York University School of Law.

Haboian joins as an associate in the firm’s real estate practice group. Haboian previously served as associate corporate counsel for The Cordish Companies in Baltimore. He graduated from Wake Forest University in North Carolina, and studied abroad at Temple University in Tokyo, Japan. Brigit Anthony, Skotti Fietsam

Brigit Anthony and Skotti Fietsam were honored with the Women in Manufacturing STEP (Science, Technology, Engineering and Production) Ahead Awards by the Manufacturing Institute, at a reception in Washington, D.C.

Brigit Anthony is vice president, engineering and technology, North America at Cooper Standard Automotive in Novi. Anthony is the leader of Cooper Standard’s North American team of more than 300 engineers, scientists, and technicians in engineering, laboratories, prototype facilities, and technical centers.

Skotti Fietsam is plant manager at BorgWarner Inc. of Auburn Hills. Fietsam launched a $15M manufacturing startup operation in Brazil. She relocated from the United States learned a new language and a complex business environment. She hired and trained an eight-person leadership team and laid the groundwork for three new business programs increasing overall revenue to $60M.
