Shade Hotel in Manhattan Beach hosted the Skechers’ Friendship Walk Check Presentation on Thursday, March 12.
The event brought together more than 150 people including corporate sponsors, city leaders, Walk participants, celebrities, school officials and education foundation representatives.
The annual Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk is an awe-inspiring event that brings together all walks of life for one common purpose; to support children with special needs and education. The walk is produced by Skechers USA and co-produced by The Friendship Circle.

Skechers President Michael Greenberg presented record-breaking checks to The Friendship Circle – a non-profit organization that assists children with special needs and their families – and six Education Foundations as a result of the 2014 Skechers Friendship Walk.

Over $1 million was distributed – making it the largest donation totals in the history of the walk!

The Friendship Walk starts next to the Manhattan Beach Pier. Participants walk south towards the Hermosa Beach Pier for the turnaround point, then return to the Manhattan Beach Pier. The total duration of the Walk is about 3.5 miles.
