Texas Instruments Inc. (TXN) Dropped To A 3-Month Low After Weak Q1 Report

Texas Instruments Inc. (TXN) reported first quarter EPS of $0.61 after the close Wednesday, up from $0.44 in the previous year. Analysts expected EPS of $0.62. Second quarter EPS is expected to be between $0.60 and $0.70, which is below the consensus estimate of $0.73.

Texas Instruments gapped open sharply lower Thursday, but was range-bound throughout the session. Shares closed down by 4.01 at $54.72 on the highest volume in 6 months. The stock fell to over a 3-week low.
