PriceSmart Q4 Profit Misses Estimate

PriceSmart, Inc. (PSMT) reported net income for the fourth quarter of $21.9 million or $0.73 per share, compared to $20.8 million or $0.69 per share for the year-ago quarter.

For the fourth quarter, net warehouse club sales increased 5.6% to $599.6 million from $568.0 million in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2013. Total revenues for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2014 were $622.6 million compared to $585.4 million in the comparable period of the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.74 per share on revenue of $620.80 million for the fourth quarter.
