The iShares Dow Jones U.S. ETF (IYY) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Friday, with over 49,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 43,000. Shares of IYY were off about 0.8% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Friday were Apple (AAPL), trading up about 0.3% with over 28.2 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Bank of America (BAC), down about 1.4% on volume of over 21.8 million shares. Intercept Pharmaceuticals (ICPT) is the component faring the best Friday, up by about 17.1% on the day, while Deckers Outdoor (DECK) is lagging other components of the iShares Dow Jones U.S. ETF, trading lower by about 17.6%.
