Rotary hosts honors banquet at PCHS

PORT CLINTON – The Port Clinton High School Rotary Honor Banquet was hosted on May 6 in the Performing Arts Center. Outstanding students from the Class of 2015 were awarded college scholarships. Prior to the award presentations, Port Clinton Rotary Club hosted their 69th annual dinner for all PCHS honor students, the scholarship winners, parents and presenters.

PCHS students and scholarships are:

PEO Sisterhood Book Scholarship, Elizabeth Showalter; Literary and Social Club Scholarship, McKenzie Stine; Kent Johnson/Grandma Theo Memorial Scholarship, Collin Salyers; Robert Krupp Memorial USG Scholarship, Eryn Binder; Fraternal Order of Police Robert Rigoni Scholarship, Keegan Lowe; The Jacob “Jake” Hefflinger Memorial Scholarship, Antonia Jones; Laurie Mann Memorial Scholarship, Shane Meek; and 1994-2004 Walleye Festival Scholarship, Kiya Brown.

Before the awarding of scholarships, Pam Belden Wallack, Class of 1977 and Michael Taylor, Class of 1985, were inducted into the Port Clinton High School Alumni/Academic Hall of Fame.
