Bemis Packaging, Toyotomi America Corporation announce improvements

SHELBYVILLE and SPRINGFIELD, Ky. (Oct. 30, 2014) — State economic development incentives were approved today for a pair of $44 million planned manufacturing expansion projects.

Bemis Packaging LLC in Shelbyville has planned a $44.8-million expansion. It was approved for a negotiated tax incentive totaling $500,000.

Bemis Packaging LLC is a flexible packing manufacturing plant that has been operating in Shelbyville since 1986. The proposed project includes the expansion of its existing facility and the purchase of new equipment to meet customer demands.

Toyotomi America Corporation in Springfield has a planned $44.246 million expansion. It was approved for a negotiated tax incentive totaling $700,000.

Toyotomi America Corporation America Corporation was established 1998 and is a tier 1 automotive supplier producing metal stamping sub assemblies for the Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) industry as well as OEM aftermarket. The company is considering the expansion of its existing facility and purchase of new equipment in order to meet customer demand.
