HealthSouth nurse recognized for her work

Susan Castor, chief nursing officer at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Toms River, has been awarded the 2014 Association of Rehabilitation Nurses Nurse Executive Role Award. The award recognizes a nurse in a nurse executive role who contributes to the advancement of rehabilitation care. Castor leads teams of nurses and employees in nursing, infection control/employee health, respiratory, radiology, wound care and nurse staffing departments. These teams provide high-quality inpatient rehabilitative care to patients who have experienced traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, cerebrovascular accidents or neurological disorders.

JCP&L names manager for Monmouth County

Kieran Tintle has been named area manager for portions of Jersey Central Power & Light Company’s Monmouth County territory. He will serve as external affairs liaison with elected officials and support community involvement activities. He was formerly director of legislative and departmental affairs in the governor’s office.

Awards presented by Jersey Shore group

The fifth annual Big Wave Awards were presented by the Jersey Shore Convention and Visitors Bureau. The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Robert C. Provost, formerly of The Star Ledger. Margot Walsh accepted the Anchor Award for The Jersey Shore Partnership. The Tide Award was given to Laurita Winery and Patti Baxter of Spark Market Solutions, received the Spirit of the Shore Award. Bar Anticipation of Lake Como was the recipient of the Icon Award. The Borough of Seaside Park was given the Resilience Award. The awards provide recognition to individuals and organization that have gone above and beyond to provide a positive impact on tourism and economic development in the Monmouth and Upper Ocean counties of the Jersey Shore.
