Rahul Gandhi's attempt to corner Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his projects like - Make in India and Swachh Bharat - boomeranged today during his interaction with college students in Bengaluru.

Speaking at Bengaluru's Mount Carmel College, Rahul asked the students: "Do you think Swachh Bharat is working? Do you think Make in India is working?" Rahul's audience was a divided lot.

While some responded with "Yes", others shouted "No", stumping the Congress vice-president. Rahul repeated the questions a few times again, but failed to get a desired response.

"Anyway, I think it's not working. I hear a talk of 'Clean our Country'. Are we serious? Do you see it's working? I don't," Rahul then added.

During the question and answer session, Rahul Gandhi said that "suit-boot" government was failing on all fronts.

He criticised PM Modi and said, "The only way to transform this country is not through one man, but with every Indian's help, with the participation of the poor." "Not once has PM called up anyone in the Congress party. Democracy is about conversation," he added.
