Sheena Bora murder case: The answered and unanswered questions
The three prime accused in the Sheena Bora murder case - mother Indrani Mukerjea, Indrani's former driver Shyam Rai and her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna - were produced before the Bandra magistrate court on Monday and remanded to police custody till September 5. Indrani's lawyers said she has been assaulted in custody. As fresh revelations tumble out in the sensational murder of the 24-year-old, here is all you wanted to know about it:
What we know?
* Born Pari Bora to Durga Rani and Upendra Bora in Guwahati. At 15, she eloped with her boyfriend to Shillong.
* Indrani shifted to Kolkata in 1986 and lived in with Siddhartha Das. It is said they couldn't get married as she was a minor.
* Gave birth to Sheena on February 11, 1987. Mikhail was born on September 9, 1988. Relations soured with Siddhartha Das. Early in 1989, Indrani left Siddhartha Das and returned to Guwahati with Sheena and Mikhail.
* Upendra Bora helped her open a fast food restaurant in Guwahati. Restaurant failed to take off. She left her children and moved back to Shillong and then on to Kolkata.
* Moved in with Sanjeev Khanna. Married him and had a baby, Vidhie. Read: Indrani is a loving mother, says daughter Vidhie 
* She got a job as an HR manager in Mumbai. Moved out of Khanna's house in 2001. Opened her own HR consultancy firm.
* Met Star Network's Peter Mukerjea at an Alyque Padamsee do. Peter, just separated, liked her. And they got along famously.
* At Peter's behest, became Star Network's official HR consultant for a firm that got hiring contracts from Peter's company. Later joined the company as HR head.
* Her children in Guwahati came to know about her impending wedding with Peter. They contacted her.
* She came to Guwahati to meet them. Told them she can help them out if they agreed to present themselves to her new family and friends as her siblings. They agreed for they needed the money to move on in life. She gets birth and school certificates made for Sheena where UK Bora and Durga Rani Bora are named as her parents.
* Peter and Indrani get married at a Delhi ceremony organised by Peter's friend and business associate Suhel Seth in 2003. Vidhie is the only one from Indrani's side to attend the wedding.
* In 2006, Sheena joins St. Xavier's College in Mumbai. Lives, initially, in Peter and Indrani's house in Worli before moving on to a shared flat closer to the college. She is introduced to people as Indrani's sister. Read: Was Indrani Mukerjea's murdered sister Sheena her daughter?
* Indrani sends about Rs 50,000 per month to Mikhail in Guwahati to take care of his studies and her parents.
* Sheena and Peter's son Rahul start going out. They fall in love. Indrani disapproves of the relationship. Peter has no issues.
* In 2007, Peter quits Star India and starts new company INX Media with Indrani, who becomes its CEO.
* In 2009, Peter and Indrani sell INX Media and move to Peter's paternal house in Bristol, UK, with Vidhie, who has taken the Mukerjea surname after a bitter paternity battle with Sanjeev Khanna. * Sheena confesses to Rahul that she is Indrani's daughter, not her sister.
* Rahul tells Peter, who rubbishes it. And later accepts it.
* Sheena moves in with Rahul, a struggling actor, to a flat in Bandra.
* Sheena gets a job with Mumbai Metro in 2011. Rahul and Sheena shift to Malad.
* Sheena and Indrani's differences grow but Sheena finds support from Rahul and Peter. Indrani dislikes Sheena's relationship with Rahul and her closeness with Peter.

* In 2012, during a visit to Mumbai, Indrani calls Mikhail and Sheena to settle their personal disputes, which includes the INX sale monies parked in Sheena's account and Rahul's wedding with Sheena.
* On April 23, She also calls her former husband Sanjeev Khanna from Kolkata. Mikhail and Khanna are lodged in two different hotels in Worli.
* Indrani, Khanna and her driver Shyam Rai visit Pen in Raigarh and visit the stretch on the highway infamous for dumping bodies in the woods.
* They return to Mumbai. Mikhail is called to the Worli house where he claims he was drugged.
* On April 24, Sheena is called for a meeting near Bandra's RD National College.

* At some distance, as Shyam Rai, continues to drive, Indrani and Sanjeev allegedly strangulate Sheena. Police suspect she was drugged before being killed.
* They cancel the plan to go towards Pen after noticing police checkposts on the way.
* They come back to Peter Mukerjea's Worli house and park the car, with Sheena's body, in the garage.
* At some time in the night, they pack the body in a large red suitcase.
* Early morning on April 25, they drive towards Pen. They stop near Gagode Budruk village and drag the body-bag suitcase about 50 metres off the highway. After pouring petrol on it, they set it on fire. The three return to Worli. Khanna takes the evening flight back to Kolkata.
* Rahul Mukerjea asks Indrani why Sheena didn't return home after meeting her. Indrani tells Rahul Sheena didn't want to meet him and will move to the US to avoid him.
* Rahul tells Peter there was something fishy in Sheena's disappearance. He also calls Mikhail and expresses his doubts about Indrani's USA theory.
* Mikhail comes to Mumbai and both he and Rahul go to Khar police station to register a missing person's report after discovering that Sheena's passport was in the flat Rahul shared with her. Who was Indrani's next target: husband Peter Mukerjea or son Mikhail Bora?
* Cops ask them to wait for Sheena is not a kid. Mikhail goes back after Indrani assures him about Sheena's "well-being".
* Rahul keeps calling Sheena on her number which is still active. After hundreds of unaccepted calls, he receives a message that says she wouldn't like to meet him and he should stop looking for her. The message claimed she had left the country for good and will return after with her right man.
* Rahul doesn't believe any of this and goes to Worli police station. Demands that a missing person's report be filed. Cops tell him a report will be filed only after an inquiry. Police visit Indrani's house in Worli where they are told Rahul was stalking Sheena and she left the country to avoid any contact with her.
* Cops rebuke Rahul for persisting with unrequited love. No report is filed.
* They call the police patil (appointed by police as informers and first responders), who informs Pen policemen about the discovery.
* Cops take it as yet another body dumping case. The area is notorious for this. Only in the year 2012, 13 such bodies were recovered from nearby the spot.
* They wait for claimants for a few days and then dispose off the body.
* Nothing happens at all in the next three years till an anonymous phone call to the Khar police station. The caller says an autorickshaw driver has murdered a young girl from a big business family and dumped the body in Raigad.
* Shyam Rai plies an autorickshaw since Indrani and Peter left the country. Whenever they were in town, he worked as their chauffeur.
* Police put Shyam Rai under surveillance and wait for his bosses. Indrani comes to Mumbai and she is also put under surveillance.
* On August 21, Shyam Rai is arrested on the pretext of possession of illegal arms.
* Shyam Rai breaks down during interrogation when asked why he visited the spot where the body was dumped. He tells them the story.
* Police arrest Indrani from her house three days later. They also seize mobile phones, laptops, computers and papers from her house. Sanjeev Khanna is arrested a day later from Kolkata.
