A former teacher at the school David Cameron’s daughter is attending has been jailed for having a sexual relationship with a pupil.

Christopher Stephenson admitted to engaging in sexual acts with a student at The Grey Coat Hospital School who was aged between 16 and 17 at the time.

The former teacher let the student stay overnight at his London home and took explicit photos of her, which he later deleted, the Daily Mail reported.

The pair started messaging on Facebook when she moved into the sixth-form and he was no longer her maths teacher, according to the Sun.

At one point the father of the victim approached Stephenson, who reassured him the relationship was nothing to worry about.

Judge Alistair McCreath said Stephenson was guilty of grooming. “This follows lengthy electronic communication that has at the end of it a sexual relationship. If that is not grooming what is it,” he said.

Stephenson was 23 at the time of the incident, which took place between 2007 and 2009, and has been jailed for 20 months.

His name will be on the sex offenders register for 10 years.
