Chhattisgarh youth who tried self-immolation before CM's house dies
RAIPUR: Politics in Chhattisgarh hot up after the physically challenged youth who attempted self immolation six days ago in front of chief minister's bungalow during jandarshan, died early on Wednesday at a private hospital. Fed up with financial problems and unemployment, the 28-year-old youth Yogesh Sahu suffered with severe burn infections and succumbed, triggering a mayhem like situation in state capital.
While opposition Congress prepares to lodge an FIR against CM, Ajit Jogi's Chhattisgarh Janata Congress (J) party has called for state wide bandh tomorrow.

Chief minister Raman Singh had met the victim at the hospital few days back and assured all assistance for best treatment. Singh had said that Yogesh attempted suicide after submitting his application during jandarshan. He was reportedly seeking employment as the condition of family of five members wasn't too good.
As he reached little late for the public grievances meeting, he couldn't meet the CM directly and had to hand over his application to a staff, which upset him.
Sahu a resident of Birgaon in Urla, was admitted at Kalda burn and cosmetic surgery hospital in serious condition with 85% burns and he died due
to infection at 3.40 am on Wednesday, police said.
Expressing condolences, chief minister said, "It's very unfortunate and sad to know the news of his death. Youths should be strong and prevent taking extreme step. There are several skill development programmes government is running in state for the youths aiming to provide them employment."

Singh asked opposition not to give a political turn to the death of youth. His family was provided Rs one lakh three days ago for his treatment and all possible help would be extended to his family.
Last rites were performed at Birgaon amid tight security to prevent any untoward incident or disturbance among crowd as the capital boiled in anger.
Meanwhile, workers of Ajit Jogi's newly formed party expressed fury over the issue and condemning the death of youth "which could have been prevented, CJC (J) will take out candle march in the evening across the death. With another death of youth at a mall in Bilaspur Gaurang Bopde, the party calls for state wide bandh on Thursday," said party workers.
Main opposition Congress said that the youths in state are being misinformed by showing off skill development programmes while they remain deprived of their rights and proper employment. State looks forward to outsourcing vacant posts in every way leaving local youths unemployed.
Demanding a job for kin of the deceased and compensation of Rs 10 lakh, said Shailesh Nitin Trivedi, Congress spokesperson. He said if government failed to do so, congress would stage massive protest.
