New Delhi: The Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) national president A. Sayeed while addressing a gathering at Rajendra Stadium in Katihar said that the party will field 25 candidates in the upcoming Bihar assembly elections.
The public meeting was organized at the stadium after taking out a rally which started from Shram Kalyan Kendra Maidan and culminated at the Rajendra Stadium while crossing through major circles of the city.
Party president Sayeed said the SDPI would be contesting in 25 constituencies including that of Katihar.
Addressing the rally Sayeed said while a number of decades have passed away wherein changes were seen in the regimes but there has been no end to the rampant corruption widespread in the country.
The control of Corporate over the country’s economy is getting stronger day by day and officialdom of the state is plagued by anarchy, he said.
He further said that the women are unsafe, the farmers are not being paid their due prices and the youth too are suffering from the scourge of unemployment.
"The unemployment has given rise to youth’s migration in search of jobs to different parts of the country. Thereby most of them land in troublesome situations", he said.
He said the SDPI would continue to strive for the rights of the common people against the anti-people policies of the state and the central governments.
