Son claims Mukhtar Ansari given slow poison in jail, 'will approach court'
Mukhtar Ansari, the gangster-politician who died on Thursday due to cardiac arrest, was allegedly given slow poison inside the prison, claimed his son Umar Ansari on Friday. The former five-time MLA had been in jail since 2005. Umar, who stated that he would approach the court, alleged that he was not allowed to meet Mukhtar Ansari at the jail two days ago and was told that his father was being given slow poison.
